The story

Built on a childhood in the hills,
and a career making things better.

As a child on the West Coast of New Zealand, seeing the deer recovery and the possum boom, the economics of the land were part of everyday life. Pests had real value, and there was a direct connection between removing pests, supporting livelihoods, and caring for the environment you lived in.

That shaped how I think: nature isn't something separate from us — it's something we're responsible for. From those early years came a lifelong belief that the best solutions are the ones that work for both people and the land.

I learned product design and immediately co-founded Goodnature. We spent years developing humane pest control systems that are now used around the world. Our work challenged the idea that killing pests had to mean poison and waste — proving that better design could create better environmental outcomes.

My real driver has always been the same: building practical systems that improve biodiversity. Happy Ending is a continuation of that work — creating a waste-less, end-to-end model for controlling invasive species, turning pests into valuable protein and loving being in nature.
